WHO DO WE RECOMMEND IT FOR?
The programme is a good choice if:
• you would prefer not to drive up in your own car or look for a parking space
• you are visiting Teide National Park for the first time and are looking for a comprehensive, organised programme
• you would like to reach the upper station at 3,555 metres (11,663 feet) by cable car
• you are interested in the volcanic landscape, geological history and natural formation of Tenerife
• you are looking for a gentle high-altitude walk or brief sightseeing at a viewpoint instead of a longer hike
• you accept the fixed timetable of the group transfer and the multiple pick-up points
• you are looking for a family programme with a child aged at least 3, and all participants meet the health requirements
WHO DO WE NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR?
This is not the right programme if:
• you would like to participate with a child under the age of 3 or while pregnant
• you have a cardiovascular, neurological or other serious medical condition, or have limited mobility
• you would like to reach the summit of Teide at 3,715 metres (12,188 feet)
• you are looking for a longer high-altitude hike or several hours of free time
• you would like a private, flexible itinerary and cannot accept a coach journey involving multiple pick-up points
• you are only looking for a programme that is not dependent on the weather

The Teide Cable Car | Transfer is for those who would like to discover Tenerife's best-known high-altitude region without having to drive, search for parking or plan a route. This experience includes return transport, an official guide and a return cable car ticket in a single booking, while the more fixed timetable of a group excursion should also be taken into account.

Participants are collected at a pre-arranged meeting point close to the selected accommodation. The transfer does not always mean direct hotel pick-up: the coach or minibus may stop at several meeting points, so the journey time depends on the pick-up area and the composition of the group that day.

The journey passes through the volcanic landscapes of Teide National Park, while the official guide provides information about the formation of Tenerife, volcanic activity and the natural features of the national park. The exact route, viewpoints and any short stops may vary depending on the weather, traffic and daily logistics.

The cable car base station is located at an altitude of 2,356 metres (7,730 feet), and from here the cabin reaches the La Rambleta upper station at 3,555 metres (11,663 feet) in under 8 minutes. Because of the elevation difference of nearly 1,200 metres (3,937 feet), the landscape and temperature change significantly within a short time; in clear weather, the caldera, volcanic formations and several surrounding Canary Islands are visible, but panoramic views cannot be guaranteed.

From the upper station, you can explore the currently open high-altitude trails leading towards the La Fortaleza and Pico Viejo viewpoints. The available time is limited to 1 hour, so this is primarily suitable for brief sightseeing and a gentle walk, rather than a longer hike. The programme does not include reaching the summit of Teide at 3,715 metres (12,188 feet), nor does it include the national park permit required for the restricted Telesforo Bravo trail.

The return cable car ticket also includes the Teide Legend digital audio guide and admission to the Science and Legend exhibition at the cable car base station. The audio guide can be used on your own phone, so it is worth downloading it in advance and bringing headphones. The base station has a restaurant, café, souvenir shop and toilets, while the upper station has toilets and a snack vending machine, but the group's timetable does not always allow for a longer meal break.

The programme is a good compromise for those who would like to reach an altitude of 3,555 metres (11,663 feet) as part of an organised excursion and for whom it is important not to have to deal with driving or parking. However, the operation of the cable car, the availability of the high-altitude trails and the panoramic views are highly weather-dependent, while the pace of the programme is determined by the timetable of the entire group rather than individual preferences.

FINESTPASS™ PRO tip
• for better views from the cable car, it is worth standing on the downhill-facing side
• at the upper station, we recommend visiting the Pico Viejo viewpoint: far fewer people choose it than the La Fortaleza trail, while in our opinion the panorama is even more spectacular
• along the Pico Viejo trail, look out for the rare, purple-flowered Teide violet, one of the distinctive plants of Teide's extreme high-altitude environment
• you may also see fumaroles along the trail: warm, sulphurous gases and water vapour seep up through small openings and cracks in the ground

CANCELLATION POLICY

d) 100% of the amount paid will be refunded

2/ CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 48 HOURS
The booking cannot be changed or cancelled free of charge within 48 hours (2 days) before the programme starts. In this case, the amount paid is non-refundable.

3/ THE CABLE CAR IS NOT OPERATING
If the cable car is not operating due to weather conditions, the excursion to Teide National Park may still take place without the cable car ride. In this case, only the portion corresponding to the return cable car ticket will be refunded. The bus transfer, guided service and all other parts of the programme that have taken place are non-refundable.

The options relating to cancellation of the entire programme by the provider apply only if the excursion does not take place in either its original or an alternative form.

4/ CLOSURE OF THE HIGH-ALTITUDE TRAILS
If the cable car is operating but one of the trails starting from the upper station is closed due to snow, ice, strong winds or other safety reasons, the programme will take place with the cable car ride and access to the areas currently open to visitors. 5/ CANCELLATION OF THE ENTIRE PROGRAMME BY THE PROVIDER
If the provider cancels the entire programme - for example, due to adverse weather conditions, technical reasons or other circumstances affecting the provider's operations - and the excursion does not take place in either its original or an alternative form, you can choose from the following options:
a) the booking can be moved to another available date free of charge
b) the amount paid can be partially or fully credited towards booking another programme
c) a voucher can be requested, which can be used for programmes included in the FINESTPASS™ selection for 5 years from its date of issue
d) 100% of the amount paid will be refunded

6/ LATE ARRIVAL AND NO-SHOW
If you do not arrive at the pick-up point at the time specified in the confirmation, or the bus has already departed due to your late arrival, or the provider is otherwise no longer able to ensure your participation, the booking will automatically be considered used. In this case, the opportunity to participate is lost, and the amount paid is non-refundable.

7/ DEPOSIT PAYMENT
✔︎ The above conditions also apply to bookings made with a deposit payment.

In practice, this means that if you cancel the booking within 48 hours before the programme starts, or fail to attend the programme for any reason, you will not only lose the deposit: the remaining balance must also be paid.
