The Mustang | Teide Tour is a unique sunset panoramic driving tour that reveals Teide’s breathtaking volcanic landscapes from behind the wheel of an iconic Ford Mustang convertible or from the comfort of its passenger seat. The experience is not simply about the destination: the journey itself, the open roof, the distinctive engine sound and the sight of the Mustangs driving together are all defining parts of the programme.
The tour departs from Costa Adeje. After a short briefing and vehicle handover, the Mustangs set off together on a guided drive towards Teide National Park. The automatic convertibles can accommodate up to four people, making the experience an excellent shared programme for couples, families and groups of friends.
After leaving the coastal resort area behind, the scenery gradually begins to change. The mountain road climbs through Canary Island pine forests, past ancient lava flows and across raw volcanic landscapes. From the open-top car, this transformation is not only visible: the changes in temperature, air and atmosphere can also be felt directly.
The route leads all the way to the foot of Teide, in the Cañada Blanca area, with the sunset stop expected to take place at an altitude of approximately 2,100 metres (6,900 feet), near a viewpoint overlooking the ancient Pico Viejo volcano. In clear weather, vast volcanic landscapes, mountain ranges and scenery rising above the clouds may unfold before you.
During the sunset stop, you can get out of the cars, enjoy the views and take the most beautiful photographs of the tour. The guides help capture shared moments at the stops, and the programme also includes a light snack and a drink.
You can drive the Mustang yourself, but passengers do not miss out on the essence of the experience either. The freedom of open-top driving is felt particularly intensely from the rear seats, while the front seats bring the panoramic views and the road itself even closer.
The programme is particularly suited to those who would prefer to discover Teide through a spectacular and more personal driving experience instead of a traditional coach excursion. With a duration of approximately three hours, it offers a rewarding evening programme without requiring long walks or taking up the entire day.

16:30 (4:30 PM): arrival by car at the meeting point
16:35 (4:35 PM): verification of the booking and identification documents, as well as the driving licences of all participants wishing to drive
16:45 (4:45 PM): explanation of the programme itinerary, vehicle operation and the most important safety rules
17:00 (5 PM): participants take their seats in automatic Ford Mustang convertibles accommodating up to four people
17:15 (5:15 PM): departure for Teide National Park; the Mustangs travel as a guided group along the mountain route, through Canary Island pine forests and volcanic landscapes
18:30 (6:30 PM): stop at the foot of Teide volcano at an altitude of approx. 2,150 metres (7,054 feet); free time to enjoy the panoramic views and take photographs
