Teide by Night reveals one of Tenerife's most distinctive sides to those who would like to stay in Teide National Park even when the daytime visitors are already heading down the mountain. The approximately nine-hour excursion starts in the afternoon, so during the same programme you can enjoy the volcanic landscapes, the sunset and later the high-altitude night sky.

During the comfortable bus journey, there may be several stops in the national park. There is time to look around, take photos and see up close the unique world of lava flows, rocks and vast volcanic areas. Meanwhile, the expert guide tells you about the history, natural environment and interesting features of Tenerife and Teide, so the landscape becomes not only something to see, but also easier to understand.

One of the most beautiful parts of the evening is the sunset. From the high-altitude surroundings, you can watch from a completely different perspective as the light gradually disappears over the volcanic landscape. As part of the programme, you can raise a glass of cava (Spanish sparkling wine made using the traditional method) at sunset before the next part of the evening begins.

The programme also includes a three-course dinner with wine and water. This provides a pleasant transition between the daytime sightseeing and the nighttime stargazing, while giving you a chance to relax in a high-altitude restaurant. Depending on the season, dinner may take place before or after sunset.

After dark, perhaps the most exciting part of the evening begins. The Starlight-certified guides use a laser pointer to trace the constellations in the sky, show you the most important stars and explain in an easy-to-understand way how to find your way around the night sky. No previous knowledge of astronomy is required: the point of the experience is not only to look up, but also to understand what you are seeing.

With the help of the telescopes, you can also observe details and celestial objects that are barely visible or not visible at all to the naked eye. Exactly which planets, star clusters, nebulae or other objects can be observed on a particular evening depends on the season and the current night sky. In summer, the central region of the Milky Way may also be more favourably visible.

Teide by Night is a particularly good choice if you do not want to experience Tenerife's natural world through a simple daytime bus excursion. The programme combines the volcanic landscape, sunset, shared dinner and guided stargazing into one long, comfortably organised evening - while the provider takes full care of the nighttime mountain driving and organisation.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAMME WORK?
Pickup: at the time shown on the electronic ticket received after booking, the bus will pick you up at the designated pickup point near your accommodation
Journey towards Teide: the guide will already tell you about Tenerife and Teide National Park during the journey
Stops in the national park: at several selected locations, you will have the opportunity to observe the volcanic landscape, take a short walk and take photos
Sunset: you can watch the sunset at one of the programme's high-altitude locations, accompanied by a glass of cava
Dinner: a three-course dinner follows with wine and water; in summer, dinner takes place before sunset, while in winter it may typically take place afterwards
Stargazing: after dark, the guide will use a laser pointer to introduce the night sky and constellations, followed by telescope observation
Return journey: after stargazing, the bus will depart for the return journey and drop you off at the same pickup point where you boarded at the beginning of the programme

• children aged 0-17 may only participate in the programme when accompanied by an adult
• participation in the programme is only possible on the exact date and time specified in the booking
• the starting (pickup) time varies depending on the season
• it is recommended to arrive 10 minutes before the pickup time
• the transfer can only be used from the designated pickup area corresponding to the selected ticket
• participation in the programme requires language skills
• the programme is led by a Starlight-certified astronomy guide
• the programme does not take place at the Teide Observatory, but consists of outdoor stargazing with telescopes
• the celestial objects visible depend on the night sky and weather conditions
• the three-course dinner, as well as wine and water, are included in the programme
• taking photos and videos during the programme is permitted (without flash and with low screen brightness)
• at the end of the programme, you will be taken back to the same pickup point where you boarded at the beginning
• smoking is prohibited throughout the entire Teide National Park
• collecting, taking away or keeping stones as souvenirs in Teide National Park is strictly prohibited and may result in a fine
• in accordance with local regulations, toilet paper must be placed in the bins provided in the restrooms
• in extreme weather conditions, the programme may be modified or cancelled (details: FAQ)

CANCELLATION POLICY
1/ FREE AMENDMENT AND CANCELLATION
The booking can be amended or cancelled free of charge at least 48 hours (2 days) before the start of the experience. In this case, you can choose from the following options:
a) the booking can be rescheduled to another available date and time
b) the amount paid can be credited in part or in full towards booking another experience
c) a voucher can be requested, which can be used for experiences available in the FINESTPASS™ selection for 5 years from the date of issue
d) 100% of the amount paid will be refunded

2/ CANCELLATION WITHIN 48 HOURS
If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours (2 days) before the start of the experience, the amount paid is non-refundable.

3/ CANCELLATION BY THE PROVIDER
If the provider cancels the experience - for example, due to adverse weather conditions, a technical issue, or other circumstances affecting the provider's operations - you can choose from the following options:
a) the booking can be rescheduled to another available date and time free of charge
b) the amount paid can be credited in part or in full towards booking another experience
c) a voucher can be requested, which can be used for experiences available in the FINESTPASS™ selection for 5 years from the date of issue
d) 100% of the amount paid will be refunded

4/ LATE ARRIVAL AND NO-SHOW
If you do not attend the experience, or if your late arrival means that the provider can no longer accommodate your participation, the booking will automatically be considered used. In this case, your participation is forfeited, and the amount paid is non-refundable.

5/ PAYMENT BY DEPOSIT
✔︎ The above conditions also apply to bookings made by paying a deposit.
In practice, this means that if you cancel the booking within 48 hours before the start of the experience, or do not attend for any reason, you will lose not only the deposit. In this case, the outstanding balance must also be paid.
