Los Rápidos is for those who want to combine whale and dolphin watching with a faster, sportier and more direct boating experience. The speedboat, carrying a maximum of twelve people, offers a small-group experience, allowing you to feel closer to the ocean and the landscape unfolding around you.
The trip departs from the port of Los Gigantes towards areas suitable for cetacean watching. The dynamic ride of the speedboat is an experience in itself, while from the boat you can continuously scan the water for whales, dolphins and other marine animals.
The small group size creates a more personal atmosphere than on a larger excursion boat. There is no huge deck or hundreds of passengers: the focus remains on the direct ocean experience, searching for cetaceans and discovering the varied coastline.
The trip continues alongside the enormous cliffs of Los Gigantes, which rise above the boat like almost vertical walls when seen from the ocean. The secluded bays of Masca, Barranco Seco and Juan López may also form part of the route, allowing you to see areas of Tenerife's western coastline that are difficult or impossible to reach from land.
In favourable conditions, the boat also stops in Masca Bay for swimming. The clear ocean water and surrounding cliffs create a special setting for a short swim, sunbathing or snorkelling.
The two-hour Los Rápidos is a particularly good choice if you want to experience Tenerife's western coastline in a small group rather than on a large boat. The experience combines the thrill of speed, whale and dolphin watching, the scenery of Los Gigantes and the atmosphere of Masca Bay in a short, dynamic ocean adventure.
