The Quad Safari offers a particularly enjoyable Teide experience for those who want not only to see Tenerife's volcanic landscapes but also to take an active part in the journey. From the seat of the quad, every bend, climb and change of scenery feels more immediate, while the guided route means you do not have to worry about navigation.
The tour starts in Chío, where you will learn how to operate the automatic quad, receive the necessary protective equipment and attend a clear safety briefing. No previous quad-riding experience is required, so you can set off with confidence even if it is your first time.
The group follows the tour guide and gradually climbs towards Teide's volcanic landscapes. Canary pine forests, solidified lava fields and open high-altitude scenery alternate along the route, allowing you to discover a completely different side of Tenerife in a short time.
The activity takes place entirely on paved public roads. This is not extreme off-road driving, but a dynamic and scenic mountain ride where the winding roads and constantly changing surroundings create the essence of the experience. The guided convoy is particularly convenient if you would like to concentrate on the quad and the scenery without having to follow the route yourself.
The tour includes several panoramic stops suitable for taking photographs. In favourable conditions, the group may even climb above the cloud layer, while Teide's volcanic formations and the colours of the mountain landscape provide an impressive backdrop for your shared photographs.
Daytime departures allow you to see the landscape in full daylight and generally offer milder temperatures, while the sunset option adds golden light and a distinctive evening atmosphere to the route. The exact sunset view always depends on the weather and cloud cover, but the late-afternoon mountain ride creates a very different atmosphere in itself.
The activity includes a light snack and a drink, as well as a helmet, jacket and gloves. You can choose your own quad or share a two-seater model with your partner. This allows the tour to combine an independent driving experience, a shared activity for couples and a scenic journey along Teide's mountain roads.
